Using Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel, it has an excellent cutting edge, is anti-corrosive and requires no special maintenance. The blade has a Yatagan shape, inspired by a traditional Turkish sabre, and is ground to an exclusive convex profile that ensures strength and allows efficient regrinding.The Virobloc safety ring has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. This allows the blade to be locked open (for safety during use), and also when closed (for safety during transport).
