Whyte T-130 RS (2017) Full Suspension Mountain Bike

Its fast, its light, its playful, its slack, it won trail bike of the year in 2016, and it has been updated this year to make it even better. It is the Whyte T130 RS.

The geometry has been dialled so perfectly on the T130 that it will haul through any terrain you feel like taking in through, keeping your line with an aplomb that most would like impossible of a bike with only 130mm of travel. Whyte have proved that it is not how much travel you have on your trail bike but how you take advantage of it that makes the real difference to the way the bike handles out in the real world of brake bumps, surprise rock gardens and tight muddy, root infested secret trails.

The T130 RS not only has thoroughly modern frame geometry, but the parts have been carefully chosen to provide a synergy that helps you go further with cutting edge but durable components that ensure your fun is maximised not cut short.

Fox Float Performance 34mm front fork provides supple suspension with their all-new GRIP damper that lifts performance up to a level with their top factory-level fork. 

The 2017 model has a single chainring specific design that has had a lot of design thought put into making the chainstays and main pivot as torsionally stiff as possible to maximise power output and make the bike feel like it’s on rails going round corners. Looking at the wheels- the rims have been widened to 29mm to ensure the maximum grip is exploited from the burly WTB Vigilante and Trail Boss tyres, while front Whyte, and rear Hope Pro 4 Boost hubs ensure the wheels are super strong and durable.

A Shimano XT M8000 I-spec II 1x11 groupset with the beautiful RaceFace Turbine cranks provide a clean cockpit with beautifully smooth shifting performance and the XT brakes provide perfect braking modulation as ever. The Rockshox Reverb dropper post rounds off the features and ensures you only need to stop when it’s time to go home.
